
Day 01: Leh
Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest for acclimatization, wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 02: Leh Local (Sham Valley)
After breakfast visit to Spituk, Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. Patthar Sahib Gurudwara - a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar - two of Himalaya's great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view.
Later we visit to Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace, Leh Palace a former royal palace that overlooks the town of Leh & Market. Return to Leh in the evening. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 03: Leh to Nubra Valley (125 KM / 5-6 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of the never-ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,390 feet) After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. Enroute you can enjoy adventure activities like ATV ride (On direct payment basis). After Hotel check-in, isit 108 ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (on direct payment basis) and have a wonderful view of Nubra Valley. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 04: Nubra – Turtuk - Nubra
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (which is first time opened for the tourist since 2010) Turtuk was under Pakistan's control until 1971, after which India gained control of this strategic area. It is predominantly a Muslim village, and residents speak languages including Balti, Ladakhi and Urdu. Turtuk is the last outpost in India after which the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins.
Turtuk is one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier. This village was captured by Indians Army in war of 1972 with Pakistan. while visiting Turtuk we pass by Thoise Airport (Military Airfield), then we visit Turtuk wooden bridge and Shyok war memorial. Visit Balti Heritage House and Museum is a family run heritage building and museum & Turtuk Waterfalls.
Later proceed to visit Thang (Zero Point) (Subject to operation) - Northern most last village at LOC. Here we take a photo stop at LOC point. This village is near Turtuk village, Shyok Valley, India. Here we have an opportunity to visit the last northern most border village from where the LOC with Pakistan is just 2.2 KM. away. It is Last village of India on Leh Baltistan border. We can see our as well as Pakistani bunkers here. Here Shyok river enters in Pakistan. Return Back to Nubra. Stay overnight in Nubra.
Day 05: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok (165 KM / 06 Hrs)
We will start the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the Agyam bridge, we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. The road after Shyok is good but very steep. After Durbuk, take left towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Drive further to Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory and only one third part lies in India. Explore the lake area, might catch some rare wildlife. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore., Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Stay overnight in Pangong.
Day 06: Pangong Lake to Leh (155 KM / 05 Hrs)
Early morning enjoys the picturesque view of Sun rise on the lake. After breakfast drive back to Leh, take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 07: Leh Local Sightseeing (105 KM / 5-6 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Sindhu Darshan one of the longest rivers in Asia and about 7 kms from Leh on the bank of the Historical Indus River. Later proceed to visit Shey Place, the ancient capital of Ladakh used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh. Hemis Gompa – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery which is believed to be the wealthiest and the biggest monastery in Leh. Which was built in 1630, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism and it houses some beautiful Wall Paintings, Thangka and several other historic objects.
Thiksey monastery - located on top of a hill, the Monastery is an excellent example of Ladakhi architecture. This contains several Stupas, Statues, Thangka, Wall Paintings and a large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings. Later continue drive to visit Rancho School - also known as Druk White Lotus school. Later we have some free time. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 08: Leh
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
